I have a 4-year old bully
I got a call from the school principal today that Twin B had broken a classmate's glasses and was putting his hands around peoples' necks. I don't know what to do with him. We have talks about how it's wrong to hit, kick, push, bite and choke our friends and he seems to understand. He'll do good for a day or two and then he'll be right back at it. I feel so bad for the boy whose glasses he broke. I asked the teacher to put a note for his parents with my name and number so I can offer to pay for the glasses, which I CAN'T afford. I just want to nip this bullying in the bud while he is still 4 years old so he won't be putting people in the hospital when he's 14 years old! I do find some comfort in the fact that my other child is as tenderhearted as he can be. I just don't understand how I can be raising them the same way and they're such different kids. Sigh...

I'm sure he's just a feisty little guy. Maybe the kid's glasses got in the way of his hands. Never thought of that, did ya?
Erin, you are lovely and funny and nice and I'm sure you are an awesome mom. I promise you that Twin B will not become a psychokiller. You'll keep teaching him and eventually he'll get it.
When Alex was 5 he tried to kick his teacher. He also stomped hard on our friends' dog's foot because it grabbed a peanut butter sandwich out of Alex's hand. Hey! Alex was hungry! Bad dog! Alex is now nice and funny, if that's any consolation.

The kids glasses probably got in the way of his hands while they were trying to go around his neck!!! I'm just going to keep having the talks that it's not good to hurt people yada, yada, yada and hope eventually he gets it.
He'll get it! (I forgot to say that Kevin, did indeed, become a psychokiller. And he was such a cute little boy! But don't let that bum you out.)

Awww...thanks for calling me smart, Spy. (I'm pretty sure I'm becoming prematurely demented, so I need to make hay while the sun shines.)
Erin, I'm not saying you should watch out for Twin A, too. I'm just thinking he has a little gleam in his eye, and if the heads of small animals end up under his bed, you can talk to him about it. Say helpful things like, "We don't chop off squirrels' heads in this family, Darling." That's what we did with Kevin. We laugh and laugh about the good ol' days when we visit him in jail.
LMAO, Robin! I always said Twin A would be the one I'd have to watch out for because he IS quiet and he'll think things through and do bigger and better (worse?) things than his brother. Twin B is so impulsive I figure he'll get caught in the act most of the time.
